Despite her impressive record in the provision of critical infrastructure and federal job placements for her constituents, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife (Iyom) has promised to double her effort in those regards if reelected on 25th February, 2023.
The Senator was speaking at a meeting with a cross-section of stakeholders in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State on Thursday.
She told the gathering at Obosi Urban secretariat that she was able to achieve the milestones so far recorded through her reach within the leadership of the National Assembly and her contacts in the Presidency, the Ministries and Federal Agencies.
While insisting she was running for reelection on the basis of her records, she asked the people to ask her rivals to provide whatever scorecard they have as legislators.
With hundreds of projects spread across the 59 communities that make up her constituency, she has also placed over 450 of her constituents in federal jobs since becoming a federal legislator.
While she expects that the incoming administration at the federal level will give her better access to do more, she urged the people to vote overwhelmingly for her in the forthcoming elections.
At Nkpor where she was received by a mammoth crowd of supporters, she listed some of her projects in the community and promised to tar the popular Akuzo road to provide access to several communities in the area.
A community leader and Odua of Nkpor, Chief Jude Osude expressed gratitude for her several interventions in Nkpor and especially the ongoing efforts to control ecological menace in the area.
In his speech at the event, the Peoples Democratic Party zonal chairman for Anambra Central urged the people not to relent in their support for the Senator whose scorecard in effective representation, provision of infrastructure and job placement for her constituents are unprecedented.
