Journalists Commiserate With Gov Ododo Over Deaths Of Sen Kadiri, Ogohi

The Journalists’ Guild of Kogi Central in Kogi State has commiserated with Governor Usman Ododo over the deaths of Senator Alex Kadiri and the former Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi.

This was contained in a statement by the Guild’s national president, Malam Muhammad Tijjani AbdulSalam, and the secretary, Ozumi Abdul, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja. The journalists, in the statement, expressed their sympathies and support to the governor during this difficult time.

They shared fond memories of Senator Kadiri and Admiral Ogohi, highlighting their profound impact on the state and the nation.

The statement extolled Governor Ododo’s leadership qualities and steadfastness in steering the state through times of sorrow.

It read in parts, “Senator Alex Kadiri, a prominent political figure known for his unwavering dedication to public service, passed away unexpectedly earlier this week. His contributions to the state and his advocacy for the welfare of the people have left an indelible mark on Kogi Central and beyond.

“Similarly, Admiral Ibrahim Ogohi, revered for his distinguished military career and commitment to national security, also departed, leaving behind a legacy of bravery and honour.”
