US President Joe Biden, Sunday evening, shelved his re-election bid after calls for his replacement by fellow Democrats over apparent ill-health.
The callers also cited his recent debate performance with Republican candidate and former President, Donald Trump.
President Biden personally announced his decision on Sunday evening, thereby ending his reelection campaign.
He wrote, “It is in the best interest of my party and the country.”
