FRSC Holds Road Show To Sensitive Nasarawa Road Users On Safety

Road stakeholders in Nasarawa State were Friday charged to ensure road safety, especially during the ember months.

The Sector Commander, Nasarawa Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, CC Lucie Samuel-Mhii, gave the charge during a road show held in Lafia.

The event was in line with the FRSC National Headquarters’ directive to organize community-centered activities for the 2024 Ember Months Campaign.

The event commenced at the Osuko of Obi’s Palace, with a lineup of attendees, including senior officers, representatives from sister agencies, transport union leaders, market traders, and media personnel.

Led by the Sector Commander, CC Lucie Samuel-Mhii, the event began with a procession, followed by a road show and motorcade through Obi, which disseminated traffic safety information to encourage responsible road behavior.

The sector commander said, “The road show is to promote safe commuting practices during the ember months with the active involvement of community leaders and stakeholders. We are demonstrating a unified commitment to reducing road traffic incidents and improving public safety.

“This event represents a meaningful step toward building a culture of road safety and shared responsibility among commuters statewide. Sustained efforts like these will enhance awareness, prevent accidents, and contribute to safer journeys for all road users.”
