Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board (SPHCB), in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) and support from various development partners, has officially flagged off this year’s Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) Week.
The event, kicked off by the state’s Deputy Governor, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, underscores the government’s commitment to securing and enhancing the health and well-being of the citizenry.
The primary objective of the MNCH Week is to significantly reduce maternal and child morbidity and mortality rates.
The initiative focuses on implementing high-impact interventions specifically designed for children under the age of five, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and women of reproductive age.
