To uphold discipline and professionalism, Commissioner of Police (CP), Enugu State Command, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, on April 16, 2025, conducted parade drills for officers and men of the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID).

A press statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Daniel Ndukwe, said that the CP, while addressing the personnel, reaffirmed his zero tolerance for unprofessionalism, extortion, and other corrupt practices.

He emphasised that the era of approving frivolous, fictitious, or trumped-up petitions for investigation is over.

The Police Commissioner charged all personnel in the department to remain steadfast, diligent, and professional in their duties, warning against illegal arrests, prolonged detention, extortion, and other forms of misconduct.

He sternly cautioned that any officer found culpable will face severe disciplinary action.
